Free Webinar on E-mobility Devices & the Building Safety Act with metroSTOR
The Building Safety Act was developed to address shortcomings identified across the sector following the Grenfell tragedy and finally comes into force in January, bringing with it a new dimension for social landlords in terms of transparency and accountability for safety in high-risk residential buildings.
There are conflicting views on how such buildings should be identified, and while this is currently deemed to be those of 18m in height and above, it is anticipated that ultimately the legislation will extend to all flatted properties with the HSE being responsible for enforcement.
One of the key elements is having a clear summary of the risks extant on every building and the measures in place to mitigate these, known as the Building Safety Case. In our experience, the quality of this information can vary hugely depending on the experience of the assessors, particularly in regard to e-mobility devices.
We are therefore delighted to be starting a series of online seminars with industry experts to help unpack the implications of the Building Safety Act in respect of e-mobility devices, starting with Chris Waterman of Triple A Solutions at 11am on 19th January 2023.
