Waste Management Workshops

Next Event – Sheffield, October 11th 2024

The next workshop in the series will take place at 9:30am at The Showroom Workstation, Sheffield, S1 2BX.

After some breakfast and networking, you can look forward to the following presentations:

10.00-11.00 – Why Waste Management is crucial to Building Safety – Dean Butterworth

11.00-12.00 – What we learnt from closed refuse chutes in Sheffield – Helen Scott

After some lunch, we will then head over to Deer Park View to see the successful closing of refuse chutes across the estate. You’ll be able to experience first hand the positive impact it has had on the community, and share experiences with your peers.

Don’t Miss Out – Places Are Filling Up Fast!

Closing Refuse Chutes – Is this really as difficult as it sounds?

With the current focus on Building Safety, many landlords are looking for a way to decommission chutes, but of course the immediate questions always arise: How will we get the agreement of residents? Won’t they just leave bags on the landings? Well, the good news is that this process has already been completed by a number of landlords very successfully.

That’s great, but why just tell you when we can show you? We’re pleased to be able to offer you the opportunity to join a number of events over the next few months where you can learn from their experience and develop a framework for implementing this on your own buildings.
