Eastlight Community Homes use metroSTOR PSL Mobility Scooter Charging Lockers to provide safe and secure storage and charging facilities on sites where the need is short term or space restrictions do not allow larger units to be installed.
Many of Eastlight’s sheltered accommodation facilities are in normal residential areas, with buildings taking up most of the plot. Fire risk assessments regularly flagged up mobility scooters in flats and communal spaces as a problem, but these sites have very little space to provide external or internal storage facilities. A solution was required which could fit in tight spaces, and be redeployed to different locations as needs changed.
While most cases are solved by relocating residents with mobility scooters to properties more suited, this is not always possible. Streetspace helped resolve this issue with metroSTOR PSL mobility scooter charging lockers, a low profile scooter store that is suited to close positioning to buildings, the low height ensuring views from windows are not blocked. They can be sited on any hard, relatively level surface and are easily relocatable as requirements change.
