The five apartment blocks of the Daedalus Village development in Lee-on-the-Solent are fitted with metroSTOR PBM Bin Storage Units to help residents dispose of their waste quickly and correctly, while metroSTOR PCM Cycle Storage Units provide secure storage for all tenant bicycles.

Project architects JTP specified metroSTOR PBM units for the social housing units to help the landlord, Radian Homes, keep ongoing maintenance costs to a minimum. The stores have minimal free space for rubbish to accumulate, and aperture inserts help tenants to correctly segregate general waste and recyclables. Where some bin stores had to be situated close to buildings, Firenze FR cladding helps minimise associated fire risks.

Original designs featured bespoke timber cycle stores, but contractors Wates Residential proposed metroSTOR PCM 15 units as an alternative: the modular construction enables rapid installation and the steel frame design ensures long term durability, while still competitive in cost terms with the bespoke option. Semi-vertical cycle racks enable a good density of storage, while still being accessible for the majority of users.
